By signing up, your electric bill is ‘rounded up’ to the next highest whole dollar amount. For instance, if your actual electric bill is $83.87, it will be rounded up to $84. The additional 13 cents provides monetary assistance for various charitable and non-profit organizations.
Big Horn Rural Electric Company, established in 1937, currently serves 3,950 meters, over 1,300 miles of line. Big Horn services 3,100 square miles in five counties in Wyoming (Big Horn, Washakie, Park, Sheridan, and Johnson) and two counties in Montana (Big Horn and Carbon). Big Horn REA was formed to provide power to its members at the lowest cost, consistent with good business practices. Although tools, equipment, and technology have advanced, the principles we were founded on are just as strong today as the day we began business.
